JS Error Trapper

Description:
JavaScript enhanced pages can really bring web sites to life but broken scripts have the habit of throwing up errors in unexpected places. For users of browsers with error reporting switched on they can be faced with an error dialog for every problem in the affected page (figure 1.1). Obviously these dialogs will be on no use to anyone other than those developing or maintaining the site and can have a negative effect on the overall impression of the site itself.
When faced with such a situation and no time to debug your code applying this action to affected pages can save your site visitors a lot of unexpected interruptions.
Although the action will not fix any problems in your code it will suppress any warnings that would normally alert the user to.

Adding the action to your pages:
To add this action to your Freeway pages follow the ' Applying Page Actions ' guidelines.

Using the action:
Once applied to a page the action will automatically become active and it's sparse interface can be seen in the action's palette (figure 1.2). Use the Activate checkbox to turn the action on and off without needing to remove it from the page. It really is that simple!

Requirements:

To add JS Error Trapper functionality to your web pages you will need Freeway 3.1 or higher.

Browser compatibility:
Because JS Error Trapper works directly with pages that contain JavaScript code it obviously requires a browser that supports these scripts.
