Description: Although image based submit buttons are quick and easy to create in Freeway as soon as you attempt to extend them their limitations soon become apparent. Although attaching the standard Softpress rollover action to the image will add the relevant code to the document, unfortunately the rollover will not function. This is because in making the image a submit button it has changed from a standard image to a form input item where, unfortunately, the rollover code cannot locate it. The Submit Image Rollover action bridges this gap by allowing you to add rollovers to these items quickly and easily.
Adding the action to your pages: To add the action to your web pages follow the Item action guidelines.
Using the action: Before you can use the action you have to tell Freeway to convert the image into a submit button. To do this select the image and check the "Submit" checkbox in the inspector palette (figure 1.1). It is also worth giving the button a descriptive name by entering a suitable name in the field provided.

The controls for the action, and displayed in the actions palette, are quite self explanatory and follow those in the Softpress rollover action quite closely. Select an image to be displayed when the user passes the mouse over the button and/or when the mouse button is held down by using the MouseOver and MouseDown menus respectively.
The restore checkbox, when activated, will restore the image back to it's original state if the user moves the mouse off of the item and the preload checkbox will ensure that the images are already loaded into the browser's cache before being used by the rollover.
Requirements: Freeway 3.1 or above (excluding Express).
Browser compatibility: Any JavaScript enabled browser.
